Music Mind Games Summer Camp!
Have a child who is 5-7 years old and interested in music? Want them to learn more about music reading? Just want them to get together with kids their age while learning a lot of fun (and educational!) music games?
Join us for our week long sessions of Music Mind Games classes. Students in our classes will experience music through movement as well as fun card games. Students will learn to count beats, identify a few notes, understand basic rhythm, and learn to indentify musical phrases and several musical symbols. Kids will leave knowing how to play at least one card game using cards with notes and rests as their playing cards. They can teach the whole family their fun new games!
We will be teaming up with Giving Artfully Kids to offer an even more fun filled summer camp session! For more available camp dates and information about the fun projects planned for the camp session, visit: Giving Artfully Kids
Dates for summer 2016:
July 11-15 M-F 9a-12p (5-7 years old)
August 15-19 M-F 9a-12p (5-7 years old)
Materials will be available for use in the class, but should students wish to purchase some of the materials in order to play with friends and family at home, please visit: www.MusicMindGames.com.
Students do not need to be enrolled in lessons at OPSA to participate in these camps. These classes are open to everyone. Parents are welcome but not required to attend. Classes are held at the studio.
